I am currently reading a horror/mystery novel. It’s quite good.

However, the author has injected his own political beliefs in almost every chapter. He is a best selling author, who has made millions of dollars on his books, so he can pretty much do as he wants.

Many authors inject a little politics into their novels. But this guy does it an in-your-face way. Nothing subtle about it.

If I ever finish my book, you will be able to figure out my politics, but not written in such bald a face way. The story takes precedence.

By the way, it is my experience that many people say, “I don’t agree with you but I respect your opinion.” That is bullshit. They think they are right and you’re an idiot.

I’ll continue my practice of shading my stories with my own viewpoint. I don’t see how it can be avoided.
